Review: The Big Book Of Dan

Did early man evolve from hermaphrodites?  How are disputes settled during a heated game of Berm Bingo? What is a poem worth?  Let's consult The Big Book of Dan!

Daniel C. Dulik's The Big Book of Dan: Road Alligators and Other Incongruous Possibilities (Outskirts Press, 2012) is a wild and woolly mix of essays, stories, and poetry about . . . well, I have no idea.  The book kind of defies categorization.  In some places, it's laugh out loud funny (Dan is a master of the pun).  In others, it's unexpectedly profound.  At no point does the reader have any idea what might be coming next.  Pretty cool.  If you're looking for something a little odd and off the beaten path, The Big Book of Dan is worth a look.

I received a complimentary copy of The Big Book of Dan to facilitate my review.  No other compensation was received.  For full disclosure, see the sidebar.

This looks like a lot of fun! I think I'll add it to my wish list since I'm still striving to read only from my TBR stack.
